ABAKALIKI-THE Vice Chancellor of Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki, Professor Francis Idike, weekend, warned undergraduates admitted into the institution for 2010\/2011 academic session to steer clear of cultism or risk\u00a0 expulsion.<\/p>\n

He described secret cult as a faceless association of weak but violent and callous individuals who, because of their inability to live up to acceptable academic standards, go on to intimidate lecturers and their fellow students into helping them pass their examination through irregular means.<\/p>\n

Professor Idike, who gave the warning during the 13th matriculation of the university, noted that the objective of educational institutions was to produce and develop the mental, moral and spiritual potentials of students, and equip them for effective and productive endeavours.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
