City face Tottenham on Tuesday when they can cement their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League by guaranteeing a top-four finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then they travel to Wembley on Saturday for the FA Cup final with Stoke as they look to end a 35-year long wait for a trophy.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the Holland ace admits City need to put everything into the next seven days to make sure their season is a successful one.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This is a very important week for the club, the players and the fans. This is do or die for Manchester City,” said De Jong following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Everton.<\/p>\n

“Fourth place is in reach and everything is in our hands. We just have to win that game.<\/p>\n

“We then have a chance to be FA Cup winners – but we must learn from this game.<\/p>\n

“Our passing was sloppy and we lost every second ball.<\/p>\n

“They came out with their long balls and set-pieces and that is their main danger but sometimes you have to grind it out.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
