Managing Editor of the \u201cDaily Post\u201d newspaper, Mr. Mike Dokosi, says after carefully watching and listening to some \u201cparty faithfuls\u201d who declared their unflinching support for the president on Thursday, May 5th, it tended to deepen his belief that President Mills had surrounded himself with \u201cBrutus\u201d.<\/p>\n
Stopping short of naming names, the editor of the pro-government newspaper claimed most of the people standing hand-in-hand with the president on that day were the same people who stabbed President Mills in the back and worked vigorously to prevent him from becoming president.<\/p>\n
Mike Dokosi expressed disbelief at seeing on national television some NDC \u201ctraitors\u201d, responsible for revealing to Mrs. Rawlings secret discussions they held with the president openly endorsing his (Mills\u2019) candidature, adding that their actions were creating a deep division in the party. To him, it was a shameful sight to behold on TV the same ardent NDC members who had created some enmity between the sitting president and the former first family, \u201csmiling\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me, those people are the bigger enemies; they are the \u201cBrutuses\u201d in life. We all know Brutus was the person who stabbed Julius Caesar (at the back) the last time, making him look at him and say; (Et Tu Brute) \u201cEven you too, Brutus?\u201d, Mr. Dokosi said.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Emefa Apawu on X-FM\u2019s \u201cBig Bite\u201d show, the \u201cDaily Post\u201d Editor called on President Mills to be on the alert and look out for his enemies from within his inner circle, pointing out that \u201ca vicious enemy is better than a clumsy friend\u201d.<\/p>\n
He expressed worry that the NDC was playing into the hands of the NPP and was arming their political opponents with campaign messages which they could rely on to send the ruling party back into the throes of opposition in 2012, considering the numerous governance mistakes they were committing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
