It\u2019s up to him to come out and have a great game and play well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;You need the crowd to support him now, you need everybody. What I don\u2019t want to hear against Blackpool is, when he makes his first save, ironic cheers or something. It doesn\u2019t help the boy\u2019s confidence, it doesn\u2019t help the team or any of us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cA lot of it is fun, but it doesn\u2019t help. Hopefully it won\u2019t happen tomorrow. It makes everybody edgy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cGomes is a great character and a top goalkeeper. We need everybody to stick with him now, not just suddenly turn on him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAll he needs is a little bit of support. He\u2019ll come back. He\u2019s made saves here that have been unbelievable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>After defeat by Chelsea in their previous game Spurs look set to be involved in next season&#8217;s Europa League, a competition which a frustrated Redknapp admits has its drawbacks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult playing every Thursday and Sunday &#8211; it disrupts,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cLast year we didn\u2019t have European football and we ended up finishing fourth, and that was a big advantage to us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIf there were teams up there in the Europa League, you\u2019d want to keep them in it because you know it takes its toll.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cYou want them to keep winning, like I wanted Man City to stay in it this year because it was every Thursday night, slapping off to places like Azerbaijan or somewhere.
