Ghana’s opening game at the Wafu Nations Cup against Togo has been pushed forward, 24 hours ahead of the original date.<\/p>\n
The Black Meteors were scheduled to have played Togo on Friday but would now take on the Hawks in the Group B opener on Saturday following a last-minute withdrawal of Senegal from the regional championship.<\/p>\n
Organisers have revised the timetable of games and Friday will now be a rest day.<\/p>\n
The absence of Senegal means that Group B has also been reduced to three teams – Gambia, Togo and Ghana.<\/p>\n
Group A has also been affected by another withdrawal after Mali who were to play hosts, Nigeria pulled out.<\/p>\n
The fixture in Group A was rearranged as the hosts began the defence of their Wafu Cup title with a 1-0 win over Liberia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
