Robert Pattinson joked he would have upstaged the recent wedding of Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge if he had been invited.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Robert Pattinson joked he would have upstaged Britain’s Royal wedding if he was invited.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ‘Twilight’ star felt if he had been in London when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married last Friday (29.04.11), the screaming public watching them wed at London’s Westminster Abbey would have been even more hysterical.<\/span><\/p>\n

The young actor \u00e2\u20ac\u201c who regularly complains of being mobbed by hordes of teenage fans \u00e2\u20ac\u201c joked: “No I didn’t get an invite, I was very disappointed.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“At the same time it would have been totally crazy if I had been invited – It would have been ridiculous.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Robert has previously admitted he used to pretend to know the royal couple when he first went to Los Angeles in order to impress people.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He said: “I don’t think I’ve ever met them. I used to tell people when I came to the States that I did. They believed me!”<\/span><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old actor also appears alongside Reese Witherspoon in new film ‘Water For Elephants’, where he plays a circus vet, and he rubbished the old saying that you should never work with animals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robert explained to British radio station Magic 105.4: “It’s easy to work with animals! Everything is fresh all the time, whenever there is a wild animal in the room it keeps it exciting.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Some things were incredibly dangerous! The scene with the Lion, the Lion could get out of the cage, there was no reason the lion didn’t eat me.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
