Manchester United<\/a> manager Sir Alex Ferguson<\/a> has insisted that his side cannot be written off prior to the Champions League<\/a> final against Barcelona<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

United are widely seen as the underdogs against Pep Guardiola’s side at Wembley on May 28, but Ferguson feels the club should never be dismissed.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told MUTV<\/em>: “Everyone is saying we are playing a fantastic team, which we are.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But you can’t write us off. You can never write Manchester United off.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The manager also confirmed that Patrice Evra and Wayne Rooney will be fit to play against Chelsea in a potential Premier League decider on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The left-back suffered a knock late in the game while the England striker was left out entirely, with the Scot admitting that he did not want to risk his star man.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Patrice got a kick,” Ferguson said.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I was ready to substitute him but he said he was OK. Wayne will be all right. I wasn’t prepared to take a risk.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
