Nigeria’s Amos Adamu has appealed to CAs over his suspension by Fifa<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

Nigeria’s Amos Adamu has appealed to sport’s highest court to overturn his three-year ban from football.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The veteran administrator was found guilty of seeking bribes during 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding process.<\/p>\n

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) said on Thursday that he has now appealed against his suspension.<\/p>\n

Tonga’s Ahongalu Fusimalohi has also appealed his two-year ban, according to the Swiss-based court.<\/p>\n

“In both cases, the appellants request that they be found not guilty and the sanctions against them be annulled,” the court said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The court has not fixed a hearing date.<\/p>\n

In February, Fifa’s Appeal Committee upheld the decisions taken by the Ethics Committee in November.<\/p>\n

Adamu had been on the executive committee for both Fifa and the Confederation of African Football, as well as the president of the West African Football Union, before his ban.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
