\"PresidentThe President, Professor John Atta Mills has picked up nomination forms to compete in the National Democratic Congress’s flabearer contest.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by a number of close confidants, members of the Council of State and Ministers, the president was mobbed by a huge crowd as he personally went to pick up the forms at the Party’s headquarters at Kokomlemle, a suburb of Accra.<\/p>\n

Responding to welcome remarks by party General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, President Mills called for a clean contest, reminding his potential opponents that they would have to come together to fight the 2012 elections as one party after the national delegates congress slated for July 8-10 in Sunyani.<\/p>\n

The President is set to launch his campaign at his Osu Kuku Hill office later in the day.<\/p>\n

Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings picked up nomination forms on Tuesday May 3 and launched her campaign at the International Conference Centre on May 4, 2011.<\/p>\n
