It’s not by accident that Raquel Welch is still glamorous in her eighth decade.<\/p>\n

The screen siren works hard at maintaining the legendary figure which first caused a sensation in the 1960s.<\/p>\n

And that includes power-walking through the Hollywood Hills with her much-younger personal trainer.<\/p>\n

Miss Welch, who will be 71 in September, chose a tight black workout outfit, wide-brimmed straw hat and trainers for her session.<\/p>\n

Most of the time she managed gallantly to keep up with the trainer but occasionally even she found the pace too much and paused to catch her breath.<\/p>\n

The actress has been a sex symbol ever since she emerged from behind a rock wearing a doeskin bikini in the 1966 film One Million Years BC.<\/p>\n

And she has worked hard to keep her figure which she flaunted in a form-fitting black dress last October as she was honoured at Women in Film Chicago awards.<\/p>\n

But she has claimed that she was more than happy to get older, once joking: ‘Every time I have a birthday, every disc jockey in Hollywood starts yahooing it all over the place.<\/p>\n

\u2018But if you can\u2019t have fun as an ageing sex symbol when you hit 60, I don\u2019t know what will become of you.’<\/p>\n

Married four times, she has a son, Damon, 51, and daughter, Tahnee, 49.<\/p>\n

Damon married England cricket legend Freddie Trueman\u2019s daughter Rebecca in 1990 but they parted within a year.<\/p>\n

Miss Welch says: \u2018I am playing grandmothers in movies now. I\u2019d like to be one for real, but my kids are not co-operating with me.\u2019<\/p>\n
