Simon Cowell has seen his fortune soar by an estimated \u00a335million in a year to \u00a3200million \u2013 but admits that he still plays the National Lottery.<\/p>\n

The X Factor supremo has jumped five places to make the top ten on the Sunday Times Rich List of Britain\u2019s music millionaires for the first time.<\/p>\n

Last year his wealth was estimated at \u00a3165million, putting him at number 11 on the list.<\/p>\n

He is now sixth following a successful year in which he reclaimed the rights to The X Factor and Britain\u2019s Got Talent after signing a reported \u2018billion dollar\u2019 deal with Sony BMG.<\/p>\n

Cowell, 51, still remains one spot behind his \u2018frenemy\u2019 Simon Fuller who is at number five with an estimated fortune of \u00a3375million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The two men rowed over who owned the rights to The X Factor, a spat which has since been resolved.<\/p>\n

However, Fuller is believed to be less than happy that Cowell is now launching the ITV talent show in the U.S. this autumn.<\/p>\n

Bizarrely, despite his wealth, Cowell revealed that he still plays the National Lottery.<\/p>\n

Speaking as he launched his new ITV gameshow Red or Black \u2013 where every night for seven nights one contestant could become a millionaire simply by choosing red or black on a giant roulette wheel \u2013 Cowell told the Daily Mail: \u2018I still buy lottery tickets. I still play. But I tick the box that says no publicity so no one would know.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n

Cowell owns a \u00a313million home in Beverly Hills, one worth \u00a310million in Barbados, a \u00a37.5million house in London and properties in Malaga and Dubai.<\/p>\n

But he confessed recently that although he is rich and successful he is not particularly happy.<\/p>\n

The music millionaires top 50 is headed by Clive Calder with a \u00a31.3billion fortune made from the sale of Zomba Records in 2002.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He tops the list after Warner Music Group chairman Edgar Bronfman, who was number one last year, moved to the U.S. and is therefore ineligible for inclusion.<\/p>\n

Victoria and David Beckham are up two places to 12th with a fortune of \u00a3165million.<\/p>\n

One is rarely out of the spotlight with the soap opera of her private and professional life. The other goes about her career with as little fuss as possible.<\/p>\n

But, perhaps surprisingly, popular classical music singer Katherine Jenkins, 30, outranks Cheryl Cole in terms of wealth, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.<\/p>\n

The Welsh mezzo-soprano tops the young music millionaires list of those aged 30 and under with her \u00a313million fortune, up \u00a32million from last year.<\/p>\n

Her albums have topped the classical music charts and she has also achieved more mainstream success.<\/p>\n

Singer and X Factor star Cheryl, 27, who was fourth on the list last year, has also seen her fortune increase by \u00a32million in the past year and is now joint second with Leona Lewis and Katie Melua.<\/p>\n

They each have an estimated \u00a312million.<\/p>\n

The top new entry was singer Adele at joint ninth with \u00a36million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
