\"NDCThe leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress has rendered an unqualified apology to Journalists who were manhandled by some supporters of Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings when she picked her nomination forms on Tuesday at the party headquarters.<\/p>\n

The Journalists who were at the party office to provide coverage and witness Nana Konadu pick nomination forms to contest the flagbearer position of the NDC were angry at the treatment meted out to them by the former first lady\u2019s security guards.<\/p>\n

Some of the Journalists who spoke to Citi News after the event were unhappy about the way they were handled when they attempted taking photographs and interviewing Mrs Rawlings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t get a single shot and that is rubbish. Konadu herself would want to get closer to people so why do they put these stupid boys around her to worry her. I couldn\u2019t get a single shot, I even take pictures of foreign presidents so what are they talking about\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, the Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, Richard Quashigah told Citi News that the incident was unfortunate and not sanctioned by the party leadership although it took place at the party headquarters.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of the party, I profusely want to apologise to any journalist that might have been manhandled by anybody. But I must be hastened to dissociate the party from any such situation because the party did not organise any such thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reports we hear is that some Journalists were manhandled by the bodyguards of the Nana Konadu, if that is the case then we find it very regrettable and we can only admonish all our aspirants to restrain their supporters\u201d.<\/p>\n
