ABUJA -Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, has expressed the board\u2019s determination to reduce cases of incomplete results in its examinations.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a\u00a0 statement signed by JAMB\u2019s Public Relations Officer, PRO, Timothy Oyedeji, on\u00a0 Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Ojerinde said the board had spent\u00a0 N48 million on a\u00a0 train-the-trainer project to reduce cases of incomplete results but did not state the period within which the fund was expended.<\/p>\n

He noted that no fewer than\u00a0 82,000 candidates had incomplete results in the 2010 UTME, adding that although the figure was less than eight per cent of the total number of registered candidates, it was still high.<\/p>\n

\u201cJAMB is worried hence it has resolved to check the menace of incomplete results in the next examination, \u201cOjerinde said.<\/p>\n

The Registrar added the Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Hafiz Ringim, had promised that the police would\u00a0 ensure a\u00a0 hitch-free 2011 UTME on June 11.<\/p>\n

According to Prof. Ojerinde, all hands were on the deck to\u00a0 check\u00a0 malpractices in JAMB examinations.<\/p>\n

Earlier, JAMB\u2019s Director, Information Technology Services, Mr Olujide Adisa, had said the training, which began last week,\u00a0 would help in reducing high rate of incomplete results in UTME.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
