LOS ANGELES (AP)\u2014Blake Griffin<\/a>(notes)<\/a><\/span> is expected to be named the NBA\u2019s Rookie of the Year on Wednesday at the Los Angeles Clippers<\/a>\u2019 training complex.<\/p>\n

The Clippers on Tuesday announced a news conference for the presentation of a major NBA award.<\/p>\n

Rookie of the Year is the only award left.<\/p>\n

A Griffin victory would be no surprise.<\/p>\n

The 2009 No. 1 draft pick had a spectacular debut season after missing all of last year with a knee injury, averaging 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists while making the West All-Star team and playing in all 82 games. He had 63 double-doubles while single-handedly energizing the Clippers, who still missed the playoffs for the 13th time in 14 seasons.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
