A founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kwame Amoako \u2013Tuffour has pledged his support for the elected Parliamentary candidate for the Asokwa constituency, Madam Patricia Appiah-Adjei.<\/p>\n
Dr Tufuor was vociferous in declaring his support for the incumbent MP, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, and even once cited that Madam Patricia Appiah-Adjei\u2019s time to be MP was not due.<\/p>\n
In an interview with the host of the Big Bite morning show on XFM 95.1, Dr. Tuffour however stated that though he supported Hon Kofi Jumah, that of the delegates mattered more than his. He admitted that although he had earlier opined that it was not yet time for Madam Patricia Appiah-Adjei, he is however ready to work with her.<\/p>\n
He also stated that once the primaries are over, all party faithfuls would rally behind the winner to give him or her the needed support.<\/p>\n
The former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) boss, Madam Patricia Appiah – Adjei polled 270 votes to defeat Maxwell Kofi Jumah who had 140 votes and Charles Asumani who managed to poll just 2 votes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
