Nobody was expecting less anyways. Most of us already knew the near-definite outcome of the presidential elections held on Saturday 16 April, 2011. We knew President Jonathan and his sweetheart Patience would still eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in Aso rock for another four-year term.<\/p>\n<p>We were only praying for a miracle, a miracle that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari or Mallam Nuhu Ribadu would win the presidential contest. By now, we\u2019d be having a ball. Not because Jonathan is a devil nor because Buhari and Ribadu are saints. But because Nigerians are done with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Period.<\/p>\n<p>There is no doubt that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the man of the moment. He\u2019s lucky indeed. And expectedly, his array of celebrity followers; Dbanj, Onyeka Onwenu, Genevieve Nnaji and the entire entertainment community have since been toasting to victory, \u2018hurray! Our man has won\u2018.<\/p>\n<p>Now that Dbanj\u2019s best friend Jonah has shown Buhari and others their routes back home; no more Eko hotel dinner, no more Jonah biscuit, no more campaign for votes and no more debates upon debates. The power is back!<\/p>\n<p>The big questions are; will Jonathan remember them? Will he remember his promises to them? Will he remember his exact words? \u2018Entertainment is an area we don\u2019t take serious, but it\u2019s a key sector the Nigerian Government should look into. I need to be closer to you\u2018.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s too early to beat the drum of negativity. For 50 years, Nigerians have been hopeful for a better life.
