The rains raised hopes of drought affected people that life could return to normal.<\/p>\n<p>On the other corner, the torrential rains caused damages, destroying a lot of hut made of plastic sheets and old clothes, a shelter for internally displaced people from ongoing battles in Mogadishu and other areas in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Rains are also reported to have poured in the districts of Dhusamareb, Abduwak and other parts of Galgudud region.<\/p>\n<p>Central Somalia has been most affected by the drought.
