{"id":415813,"date":"2011-05-03T02:49:30","date_gmt":"2011-05-03T02:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/05\/03\/chaneta-confirms-to-field-team-in-all-africa-games\/"},"modified":"2011-05-03T02:49:30","modified_gmt":"2011-05-03T02:49:30","slug":"chaneta-confirms-to-field-team-in-all-africa-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/05\/03\/chaneta-confirms-to-field-team-in-all-africa-games\/","title":{"rendered":"Chaneta Confirms to Field Team in All Africa Games"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"27.0198854061\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecitizen.co.tz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Citizen<\/a> (Dar\u00a0es\u00a0Salaam)<\/p>\n<p>Imani Makongoro<\/p>\n<p>2 May 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>Dar Es Salaam \u2014 The National Netball Association (Chaneta) has joined the list of national sports bodies that have confirmed their participation in the All Africa Games set for September in Maputo, Mozambique.<\/p>\n<p>Chaneta acting secretary general Rose Mkissi said yesterday that they would name the squad for the Maputo games soon after the ongoing East and Central Africa Championship in Zanzibar.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Players featuring for local teams in the ongoing netball championship in Zanzibar will constitute the bulk of players in the team,&#8221; she said.This brings to eight the number of games in which Tanzanian sportsmen and women have so far confirmed to battle it out for top honours during the continental version of Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>Other sports the athletes compete in are: boxing, swimming, table tennis, Paralympics, Judo, athletics and women&#8217;s soccer.
