Unpatriotic: Ricky Gervais launches foul-mouthed attack at Royal Wedding campers<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He’s no stranger to causing controversy with his comedy.<\/p>\n

But this weekend Ricky Gervais stunned fans as he launches an extraordinary foul-mouthed rant on his blog targeting the thousands of people who camped out for the Royal Wedding.<\/p>\n

In the blog post, the unpatriotic comedian referred to the time Prince Harry provoked a storm by dressing up in a Nazi uniform for a party, as well as blasting those who had chosen to camp out ahead of last Friday’s nuptials.<\/p>\n

He wrote: ‘I sent Prince Harry a text today offering to gag up his best man speech. (True.) He said he was fine.<\/p>\n

‘Hmmm? If I hear he’s done any holocaust or famine s**t I will sue obviously. I also reminded him it wasn’t fancy dress.’<\/p>\n

Gervais added: ‘On a serious note; I really like Harry. I like William too and really wish the happy couple all the best, as I would anyone on their wedding day. But… really. Enough already.<\/p>\n

‘Who are these f*****g mongs from all over the world camping out for f*****g days to get a 30 second glimpse of two people from 30 yards away? Christ.<\/p>\n

‘Still, mustn’t grumble. I suppose everyone gets a day off.’<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Gervais wasn’t the only celebrity to mock the big day, as Kathy Griffin joked about the length of the kiss.<\/p>\n

In a special show entitled Kathy Griffin\u2019s Take on the Royal Wedding, Griffin joked: ‘I made out with my dog longer than this, I did.<\/p>\n

‘Really? Honest? Seriously? It was equated to the kind of kiss you give someone when you\u2019re breaking up with them.’<\/p>\n

‘Enough already!’ Gervais opted for a particularly offensive word to describe those who camped out ahead of Friday’s big day<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Unapologetic: Gervais then acknowledged that at least we got a day off for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s big day<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Gervais has become famous for his controversial comments and hit the headlines when he hosted the Golden Globes earlier this year.<\/p>\n

During the three-hour ceremony the 49-year-old insulted just about everyone in the film industry.<\/p>\n

Taking a pop at Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp for their film The Tourist, he said: \u2018Seems like everything this year was three-dimensional. Except the characters in The Tourist.\u2018<\/p>\n

‘I tell you what, I\u2019m jumping on the bandwagon, because I haven\u2019t even seen The Tourist. Who has?\u2019<\/p>\n

To gasps from the Beverly Hills audience, he referred to one film featuring \u2018two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay, so the complete opposite of some famous Scientologists then\u2019.<\/p>\n

Gervais added: ‘My lawyers helped me with the wording of that joke.’<\/p>\n
