And despite seeing his first half penalty saved by Ali Al Habsi Arteta was pleased with his performance after such a lengthy spell on the sidelines, even though he only managed to play 66 minutes of the match.<\/p>\n
“I felt okay during the game,\u201d he told the club\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n
\u201cI knew that I wouldn’t be able to play the whole game because I’ve been out for seven weeks with a serious injury.<\/p>\n
“I’m happy that I didn’t feel anything and fitness wise I want to get back to my best in the final three games of the season.”<\/p>\n
Arteta\u2019s penalty miss came with the score 1-0 to Wigan, and the Toffees had to wait until the 78th minute to get a point from the game when Leighton Baines emphatically scored from the penalty spot again.<\/p>\n
And the midfielder admitted there had been disappointment in the Everton camp after the match despite the late equaliser.<\/p>\n
“There’s a bit of disappointment, it was good to get the equalising goal at the end and get a point,” he added.<\/p>\n
“But I think we played some good stuff, conceded a sloppy goal and then missed a penalty, we scored to get the point and at least we haven’t lost two in a row.”<\/p>\n
