She famously shed five stone and became a spokesperson for WeightWatchers.

But has Jennifer Hudson taken the dieting a little too far?

The 29-year-old Oscar-winning actress and singer showed off a remarkably slim frame as she attended the Mary J. Blige Honors Concert in New York tonight.

Ultra slim: Jennifer Hudson showed off her super slender figure in a clinging pink dress at the Mary J. Blige Honours Concert in New York City earlier tonight

Dramatic loss: Hudson pictured back in 2009, and tonight, after losing five stone

Wearing a clinging salmon pink dress which showed off her slender figure, the star looked remarkably different to her former U.S. size 16 self.

The Dream Girls star famously lost four dress sizes in two years on the weight loss programme.

But recently, even she has said her fiance, WWE wrestler David Otunga, doesn’t want her to lose more weight.

Good spirits: Jennifer seemed happy and relaxed as she waved and posed for photographers

‘Some people don’t like it so much and tell me to stop,’ the star recently told Bang Showbiz. My fiancé tells me not to lose more.’

‘He likes me very basic, no make-up, no heels, no fuss,’ the singer explained. ‘I think both of us are still struggling to come to terms with this new me.’

Christina Aguilera looked happy and relaxed as she posed on the red carpet wearing a black lacy Valentino minidress and towering black heels.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood plumped for a different look in a pair of ultra short black shorts, tights and a short cropped black jacket.

Metallic: The evening’s host, Mary J. Blige, looked stunning in a gold dress while Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo showed off her slim figure in a bronze jumpsuit

Colourful: (Left to right) Kerry Washington, Lala Vazquez Anthony and Jill Scott went for vibrant outfits

They were lending their support to the concert in aid of Blige’s FFAWN’s Scholarship Fund which which helps send young women to college with full, four-year scholarships.

Blige herself looked stunning in a gold layered minidress, while singer Corinne Bailey Rae also lent her support in a simple pink sweater dress.
