Bujumbura \u2014 Two Burundian coffee personalities; Emile Kamwenubusa and Adrien Sibomana, were hosted to a special event that covered a wide range of topics including privatisation of the Burundi coffee industry in Minneapolis, USA.<\/p>\n

Other areas covered included the role the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is playing in improving Burundi coffee farming and production as well as the initiatives the country is taking to satisfy the different market segments for specialty coffee.<\/p>\n

Emile Kamwenubusa works with USAID on agronomic projects to improve coffee quality and production. Adrien Sibomana is the Executive Director of Intercafe Burundi, a key exporter of Burundi coffees.<\/p>\n

They also discussed the benefits that direct trade relationships provide in improving the lives of farmers in Burundi while ensuring coffee supply and quality.<\/p>\n

According to a press release on their website, the company that organized this event is Dunn Bros coffee, a company that buys coffee directly from farmers and exporters in Africa and other parts of the world and is dedicated to selecting the finest coffee and fresh roasting them daily in local shops in America to deliver the freshest best tasting coffee.<\/p>\n
