Arsene Wenger insists he will continue to keep faith with his policy of nurturing young talent as he looks to end Arsenal’s six-year trophy drought.<\/p>\n

The Gunners boss is widely expected to revamp his squad in the summer after seeing his players fall agonisingly short in their quest for domestic and European honours.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wenger realises he needs some quality additions in key areas if he is to deliver trophies to Arsenal’s silverware-starved supporters next season.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the Frenchman is adamant he will not sacrifice his principles of giving promising youngsters their first team chance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grow<\/span><\/h4>\n

On his summer plans he said: “We want to add what is needed but I am very cautious with what I say because it can be turned both ways.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is very important for the club that we keep faith in what we do – you can see that the players grow when they get a chance. Like Wojciech Szczesny, compared to two months ago, he has grown.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is a law in our game – you can only grow at some stage if you play. People want both.<\/span><\/p>\n

“They want to win every game and they want to produce fantastic quality young players as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

“But if Jack Wilshere has grown this season it is because he has played.<\/span><\/p>\n

“However, on the other hand, if you do not win, the same people say ‘why do you play young players?'”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
