Suspected thugs armed with dangerous weapons, yesterday, invaded the Election Petitions Tribunal wing of the High Court in Yenagoa and carted away copies of documentary evidence before it.

The invaders it was learnt stormed the court premises, Saturday evening, and made away with copies of the petitions submitted before it by the reinstated deputy governor of the state, Peremobowei Ebebi who is also the Labour Party candidate for Bayelsa West senatorial district.

Sources told Sunday Vanguard, that the hoodlums\u2019 also assaulted two officials of the tribunal before dispossessing them of their cash worth about N75,000 as well as disappearing with an unspecified number of form TF 003 entitled \u201cNotice of Presentation of Petition.\u201d
\u00a0
The Labour Party candidate for Ekeremor constituency II, Angus Dide in the April 26 state house of assembly poll was also manhandled by the invaders leaving him battered in his pool of blood.

The invaders were allegedly led to the premises of the court by the state government special security outfit, Operation Famou Tamgbei.
\u00a0
Though the identity of the hoodlums could not be independently confirmed the battered Labour Party candidate who claimed that they were led by the younger brother of a serving senator from the area added that they were given cover by the security outfit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
