Former Falcons coach, Eucharia Uche is nursing the hope of returning to her job as the Nigeria Football Federation maintains a steady silence on the appointment of a new coach for the women national team.<\/p>\n

Uche, told Sports Vanguard that though it was up the NFF to decide whom to choose from amongst the coaches that have applied for the job, she would not hesitate if offered a second chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NFF has a responsibility to give Nigeria a sound coach for the Falcons, if we must have a better and formidable team. But then, I won\u2019t hesitate if the job is given to me again.<\/p>\n

Because, there is no coach that will not accept such offer to serve his fatherland the second time. I will gladly accept it and improve on so many areas. As it is now, I have learnt a lot of lessons in the past and if such opportunity comes again I won\u2019t hesitate to grab it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Uche was the first African woman coach to win the African Women Championship, she also led the Falcons to their first win of a match at the Germany 2011 World Cup. But her failure to land Nigeria a ticket to the All Africa Games in Maputo and the London 2012 Olympics called her competence to question.<\/p>\n

But she insisted: \u201cThere is nothing like continuity, which is very important. Like I said, both the coaches and the players have learnt their lessons, so if given the opportunity again, we will only make few corrections, especially, where we feel things went wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
