Umuahia \u2014POLICEMEN from the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, of Abia State Police Command, have arrested one Chetachi Obi, said to be an aide to the member of a Federal\u00a0 Constituency in House of Representatives for alleged impersonation and examination fraud in the on-going November\/December NABTEB examination.<\/p>\n

Obi was said to have been arrested with another female suspected to be an invigilator for allegedly trying to write the said examination for the law maker.<\/p>\n

The two suspects were said to have been arrested at Unique Comprehensive High School, Isuochi, in Umunneochi Local Governemnt Area of Abia State, following a tip off.<\/p>\n

Obi, said to have been attending the examination in her private Volkswagen car, was arrested yesterday while she was said to be sitting for Mathematics in alleged connivance with the invigilators and had her car impounded and parked at Isuochi police station.<\/p>\n

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, in charge of the state CID, Mr. Joseph Micloth, confirmed the arrests.<\/p>\n

He said, however, that he was yet to be briefed on the matter, adding that investigation into the matter would commence as soon as the commissioner was notified.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThe matter was reported to me and I detailed my men for the arrest. It is true that they have been arrested, but we have been at a meeting since morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that I am back to the office, they will come and brief me and I in turn will go and brief my boss, the state Commissioner of Police. There is nothing else I can tell you gentlemen now.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suspects are currently being held at the state CID for interrogation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
