Zaria \u2013 Sen.\u00a0 Ahmed Makarfi of\u00a0 PDP has lost Kaduna North Senatorial seat to CPC\u2019s Baba Datti-Ahmed.<\/p>\n

Announcing the result in Zaria, Friday, INEC Returning officer, Dr Fidelis Tisa, said\u00a0 Baba-Ahmed polled 366,398 votes while Makarfi had 365,043 votes.<\/p>\n

He said ANPP\u2019s Aminu Abdulfatah got 22,937 votes while Aliyu Umar of\u00a0 PRP polled 4,519 votes.<\/p>\n

Tisa\u00a0 said the senatorial district recorded a total vote cast of\u00a0 792,806\u00a0 votes out of\u00a0 which\u00a0 14,236\u00a0 were rejected.<\/p>\n

The News Agency of\u00a0 Nigeria,<\/em> NAN, reports that PDP\u2019s agent, Malam Nuhu Ibrahim, however, rejected the result, alleging irregularities in the process.<\/p>\n

He submitted three copies of his\u00a0 petition to\u00a0 INEC for\u00a0 consideration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
