Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish feels that underpinning his success in his second spell in charge at Anfield has been the collective effort of his players, which has allowed individuals to shine through.<\/p>\n

Last week\u2019s 5-0 thrashing of Birmingham City featured the second hat-trick under Dalglish’s reign this season as Maxi Rodriguez followed on from Dirk Kuyt\u2019s heroics against Manchester United last month.<\/p>\n

Dalglish believes such feats have been achieved due to the displays of the team as a whole.<\/p>\n

“The strength of the football club is going to be in the quality and desire of the players and I don’t think you could ask for more of them than what we did against Birmingham,” said the 60-year-old Scot.<\/p>\n

“We gain success as a team. Within the framework there are always going to be individuals who shine from time to time but there are a lot of people who are getting the benefit.<\/p>\n

“There are a lot of people scoring the goals and that is even better for us.<\/p>\n

“We don’t mind who scores. We had Maxi and Joe Cole – who have not played that often – come in and score four of the five goals so there is nothing wrong with their attitude or commitment.”<\/p>\n

Liverpool faces Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon in the hunt for the final place in Europe, currently occupied by Tottenham, which is looking to out do Manchester City and get into the Champions League for a second successive season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
