Harlequins expect to be unchanged for the visit of Salford, who have finally parted company with Shaun McRae.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quins captain Rob Purdham is still missing as they take on the team just a point below them in the table.<\/p>\n

While Quins look for their first win in eight games, Salford are out to bounce straight back from Tuesday night’s latest heavy defeat at Huddersfield.<\/p>\n

Coming on top of their 60-0 Good Friday defeat at Warrington, the Reds leaked 19 tries over the Easter weekend.<\/p>\n

McRae, who had been on leave due to medical advice since March, was due to leave at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

But the Reds have reached an agreement for the Australian to depart 12 games into the season, allowing assistant coach Phil Veivers to take caretaker charge.<\/p>\n

After starting the season so well, Quins are looking to halt the seven-match run without a win which has seen them plummet from top spot to the bottom half of the table.<\/p>\n\n

Harlequins forward Oliver Wilkes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Salford have had a torrid start, more off the field than on it, but they’ve some quality in their side. They’ve got internationals in there and Iafeta Paleaeaasina is a big truck.<\/p>\n

“It’s a long, tough season and we’ve taken a few bumps and bangs in the last few weeks. And, if someone had said at the start of the year we’d have nine points from our first 12 games, I don’t think we would have been too unhappy.<\/p>\n

“It’s just that we had such a great start and expectations were set high. But if we keep working hard and keep believing in what we’re doing, we should be okay.”<\/p>\n

Salford caretaker coach Phil Veivers:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We’ve let in over 100 points in the two games over Easter, so that tells the tale.<\/p>\n

“We’ve a lot to address this week before we go down to London.<\/p>\n

“But, from Friday, where we completed at 48%, to turn around completing at 93% at half-time was an encouraging sign.<\/p>\n

“We looked after the ball and created some opportunities on the fringes so there are some positives.”<\/p>\n\n
