The aim was to conduct a training needs analysis and monitoring the general progress at the Ovatue and Ovatjimba settlements in the Kunene region.<\/p>\n<p>Aaron Clase, chief control officer in the Division of San Development, said: &#8220;I was so excited to see that households&#8217; people have now started milking their own goats and cows, pour the milk in the calabash and shake it to make butter. These villages are now literally lands of milk and honey.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He further said the &#8220;community have now really taken full ownership of the settlements and there is so much activities taking place here. The villages are also clean and the fruit trees have grown big.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Despite a few challenges relating to an inconsistent feeding programme, insufficient chairs and desks at the schools, lack of commitment of health promoters except for Otjokojo, poor road condition and the solar power breakdowns, the Office of the Prime Minister is happy to announce that the community&#8217;s livestock are in very good condition and have tremendously increased in numbers and seasonal gardens are blooming.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Government continues to do everything humanly possible to mitigate the plights of marginalised communities in Namibia. However it cannot do everything on its own.
