She has just released some new behind-the-scenes footage entitled ‘Katy Perry Concert Candy.’<\/p>\n

But it seems that touring isn’t always sweetness and light for the 26-year-old singer.<\/p>\n

In the backstage look at her recent sell-out UK tour, the singer reveals some of the downsides of life on the road.<\/p>\n

Candy girl: Katy Perry released new behind-the-scenes ‘Concert Candy’ footage of her recent UK tour today<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

‘The road starts to, like envelop your body and makes you look kind of like a soldier of sorts,’ she says on the footage, which she posted on her website today.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I just crossed the Atlantic in like, three days.’<\/p>\n

The star is seen in a variety of glittery outfits and pink girly skirts in the video, which shows Katy having to go through a multitude of costume changes for the show.<\/p>\n

All that glitters: Katy revealed she has several costume changes on the UK leg of her California Dreams tour<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"Energetic:<\/p>\n

Energetic: Perry wears an array of elaborate outfits on tour, including a number of sparkly dresses like this scarlet strapless number<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

‘There are times when we have one minute thirty seconds to change into the next costumes and there is a bar in my quick change that I just hold on to,’ she confides to the camera.<\/p>\n

‘They are ripping s*** off me and I’m like screaming and swearing getting my side caught in my zipper.’<\/p>\n

Footage also sees Katy address her audience during one concert, telling them: ‘I was dying to get to England.’<\/p>\n

She also dedicates a song to her husband British comic actor Russell Brand.<\/p>\n

‘It’s kind of a weird love triangle – my husband, myself and you guys,’ she tells the\u00a0 crowd. ‘That’s all I’m thinking about right now.’<\/p>\n

Katy then takes some time out to sign autographs for some of her younger fans and eats candy floss in front of a sweet-themed backdrop.<\/p>\n

The concert features some clips of her on stage around the UK where she flirts with the crowd and hands out kisses.<\/p>\n

However, although she spends much of her time working hard, she is also seen having fun with her dancers and crew members after the concert.<\/p>\n

‘Katy has a great balance,’ says one of her tour crew. ‘She knows when to play and when to work hard.’<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Katy was kicking off the Australian leg of her tour.<\/p>\n

‘Oy… I am so glad I kicked off my OZ tour in Melbourne… you made me feel right at home :)’ she wrote on her Twitter account. ‘Sweet dreams… And pink ice creams…’<\/p>\n
