OTA\u2014PRESIDENT and Founder, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, Thursday\u00a0 in Ota, Ogun State, said the Post Presidential election violence in parts of Northern Nigeria was uncalled for.<\/p>\n

While responding to question at a briefing to herald of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Liberation Mandate in Covenant University, Ota, Bishop Oyedepo, said in a contest between two people, one would win and the other would lose, but the loser should congratulate the winner.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cI\u2019ve always prayed for peace, the violence which followed the presidential election was uncalled for. Thank God the violence has subsided. In time to come, there won\u2019t be post-election violence.<\/p>\n

With maturity, it will not be so again. Even the people used for the violence will soon mature,\u201d alluding ignorance and lack of maturity on the part of the people for the violence which followed the election.\u201d<\/p>\n

He explained that the margin of voters between the winner and the loser was wide; about 10 million and so,\u00a0 there should not have been any resort to violence.<\/p>\n

Oyedepo frowned at the casualty suffered by the NYSC members who worked as ad-hoc staff of INEC in the conduct of the elections, saying \u201cnobody will like to go to where he would be killed as the NYSC scheme was meant to unite the country and not divide it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He explained that the briefing was called in commemoration of the ministry \u201cwhich is the platform that gave birth to a number of outreaches including the Church Ministry, the Publishing House, the Missions to the Nations, the Education Mandate and the Social Services Ministry. We are here only to tell the story of the Grace of God at work in this ministry.<\/p>\n

To God all praise belongs.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that the Living Faith Church also known as Winners Chapel International is one of the great outreaches of the Liberation Mandate.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the small mustard seed that was planted some 28 years ago has grown to become a mighty tree with wide-spread branches spanning across the length and breath of Nigeria and over 50 nations of the world\u201d, he added<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
