CHAIRPERSON of the Rivers State chapter of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, PSN, Mrs Elizabeth Odili, who was kidnapped from her office on Okporo Road in Port Harcourt, April 21, 2011 by unknown gunmen is yet to be released.<\/p>\n

Odili\u2019s younger sister, a banker who identified herself as Patricia told newsmen in Port Harcourt, that \u201cthe story came that my sister was kidnapped by some men, numbering about five,\u00a0 who were said to have shot into the air and taken her away.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had reported the matter to the police and they said that they were doing something about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince then, we have not established contact with my sister\u2019s abductors nor with her. It has been difficult because her phone was not taken away with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur family\u00a0 had to handle these trying times with care because of the sensitivity of the situation. We don\u2019t know the intention of her abductors so we are careful. I don\u2019t know what she has done to any one to warrant this torture.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy aged parents are wrecks. At first, we never told them but I know they now know and are bearing the problem with God\u2019s assistance,\u201d\u00a0 Patricia added.<\/p>\n

Asked if the family suspected any one, the banker said she didn\u2019t think of any one.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, Elizabeth Ngozi Odili, who is also the National PRO of the National Council of Women Societies wrote a petition to the Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Josephine Anenih, over the\u00a0 crisis in the nation\u2019s foremost women body.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
