Peacock’s injury cost him a place on England’s autumn tour down under<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

Leeds forward Jamie Peacock is ready for his comeback after eight months out following the knee operation that prematurely ended his 2010 campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Great Britain captain has been named in the Rhinos’ squad for Friday’s derby trip to Castleford.<\/p>\n

Peacock coincidentally suffered the knee injury on Leeds’ last trip to Cas in August, when the Rhinos won 38-6.<\/p>\n

Peacock’s comeback follows Danny McGuire’s return from injury on Monday in Leeds’ 34-16 win over Crusaders.<\/p>\n

McGuire also missed the first two months of the season after suffering a similar knee injury in Leeds’ play-off win at Wigan last September.<\/p>\n

Leeds winger Lee Smith is also in the squad and in contention to make a return.<\/p>\n

Smith has missed the Rhinos’ last three games with a hamstring injury, while Ben Cross is also added to the team who beat Crusaders.<\/p>\n

Castleford are without prop Craig Huby, who has been ruled out for at least four months after fracturing his knee.<\/p>\n

Leeds have won on both their last two trips to Wheldon Road.<\/p>\n

In fact, their only defeat against Cas in six meetings came in the Rhinos’ first home game last season – 24-10 in February.<\/p>\n

Peacock said he was raring to get back after such a long absence, but warned that he would need time to get back to full speed.<\/p>\n

“It’s like pre-season for me and it’s not realistic to expect me to get back to how I was playing straight away,” he said.<\/p>\n

“It’s been the longest break I’ve ever had and it’s going to take some time to find my feet.<\/p>\n

“But it’s going to be a 20 to 25-game season for me which is fantastic. I’m still going to be fresh at the end of the year when the important games come round.”<\/p>\n\n
