Gabbidon: Charged for comments made on Twitter<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

West Ham defender Danny Gabbidon has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association for comments he made on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Gabbidon vented his fury at criticism from West Ham fans following their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on 16th April.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Wales international has until 4th May to appeal the charge, but if found guilty he could face a fine or a ban.<\/span><\/p>\n

A statement from the FA read: “West Ham United defender Daniel Gabbidon has today been charged with Improper Conduct and\/or bringing the game into disrepute by The FA.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The charge follows media comments made on Twitter on 16 April 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Gabbidon has until 4pm on 4 May 2011 to respond.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Gabbidon is the second West Ham player to be charged by the FA for comments made on Twitter after Carlton Cole made comments during the international friendly between Engand and Ghana at Wembley earlier this month.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
