Ghana won the 2009 Under-20 World Cup in Egypt<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

Egypt will face Brazil in the opening game of the Under-20 World Cup finals in Colombia on 29 July after Wednesday’s draw.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After their Group E opener Egypt will then play Panama and Austria in the cities of Barranquilla and Cartagena.<\/p>\n

The Egyptians are one of four African sides bidding to follow in the footsteps of Ghana by winning the Under-20 World Cup.<\/p>\n

Mali’s reward for reaching the finals is to face hosts Colombia in Group A.<\/p>\n

The West African’s first game will be against South Korea before they face Colombia and will end their group campaign against their former colonial power France in a group that will be based mainly in the Colombian capital Bogota.<\/p>\n

Cameroon are in Group B and are still waiting to find out who their first opponents will be as the Champions of Oceania are yet to be be decided.<\/p>\n

After that Cameroon will play Portugal and finally Uruguay in Group based in Cali.<\/p>\n

Nigeria, who were runners-up at the 2009 Under-17 World Cup that they hosted, are in Group D where they will play Guatemala, Croatia and Saudi Arabia in the cities of Armenia and Pereira.<\/p>\n

The top two from each group and the best third-placed sides will go through to the last 16 of the event.<\/p>\n

The four African sides qualified for the World Cup by reaching the semi-finals of the African Youth Championship is South Africa, reigning continental and world champions Ghana failed to reach the last four.<\/p>\n
