She might have been going to a burlesque show on the West End, but that didn\u2019t mean she had to dress like one of the acts.<\/p>\n

Nicola Roberts was snapped leaving the Hurly Burly Show in a sheer black dress with only a nude strapless slip beneath covering her modesty.<\/p>\n

Instead of wearing lingerie under the knee-length frock, the Girls Aloud star appeared to be wearing a body contouring slip.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the 25-year-old was following in the footsteps of celebrity Spanx fans such as Lily Allen, by wearing one of their compression slips.<\/p>\n

The hide and seek nude slip is designed to smooth out bumps and doubles as underwear to accompany sheer dresses.<\/p>\n

Nicola, who looked slightly gothic in the dark dress against her porcelain skin, was with her sister Frankie, who wore a bright pink skirt and denim strapless top.<\/p>\n

Roberts wore her red hair up in a high pony tail and accompanied her off-the-shoulder crochet dress with strappy black heels and a matching handbag.<\/p>\n

The girls started their night off at the Fleming Hotel in Mayfair before heading to the Garrick Theatre to watch the show.<\/p>\n

The risqu\u00e9 show, which stars British burlesque star Miss Polly Rae, the founder of the show, has received rave reviews.<\/p>\n

The show states that the act: \u2018takes audiences on a unique, provocative journey full of wit, joie de vivre, and celebration of the female form.\u2019<\/p>\n

Quentin Letts critiqued the show for the Mail last month, saying: \u2018The contours are amazing, as are some of the contortions .<\/p>\n

\u2018A dancer\u2019s slow, near-naked splits makes one\u2019s eyes water like lychees. The high kicking seems double-hinged.<\/p>\n

\u2018I have to say that the Hurly Burly Show is artistic rather than lewd. It\u2019s ersatz sleaze.\u2019<\/p>\n

Kylie Minogue also attended the Garrick Theatre this month to watch the opening night of the new show, which is directed by her 37-year-old stylist William Baker.<\/p>\n

William, who began his career as a fashion designer, made his debut as a theatre director in the 2007 West End revival of Rent.<\/p>\n
