{"id":403166,"date":"2011-04-27T23:12:44","date_gmt":"2011-04-27T23:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/04\/27\/lagos-arp-congratulates-fashola\/"},"modified":"2011-04-27T23:12:44","modified_gmt":"2011-04-27T23:12:44","slug":"lagos-arp-congratulates-fashola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/04\/27\/lagos-arp-congratulates-fashola\/","title":{"rendered":"Lagos ARP congratulates Fashola"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"73\">\n<p>By Innocent Anaba<\/p>\n<p>LAGOS\u2014 The\u00a0 Lagos State Chapter of the African Renaissance Party, ARP,\u00a0 yesterday,\u00a0 congratulated Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN,\u00a0 of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, for his success at Tuesday\u2019s gubernatorial poll in the state.<\/p>\n<p>ARP Lagos State chairman, Chief Udoka Udeogaranya, in\u00a0 a congratulatory message, yesterday, said, \u201cwith this victory and the mandate reposed on him by the Lagos State electorate, ARP would like to lead the vanguard of all other political parties in the state to accept the result, concede defeat and congratulate the winner as this will harmonically create a peaceful political space for our Governor-elect to perform his constitutional duties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cARP is a party that admires good governance and would like our governor-elect not to see his victory as a winner takes all or that of a victor and the vanquished but rather to consider some of the issues raised by the other political parties during the contest and would be pleased to see his administration in the next four years reflect on them and even work with opposition political parties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ARP will not hesitate to work with the governor- elect at any time he found us useful in his upcoming administration.<br \/>\u201cFinally, we would like to thank and extend our warm greetings to the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, for conducting a fair election even though it could have been better,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would also like to thank the good people of Lagos state for making the entire electoral period a violence free exercise and all the media houses for giving all political parties fair access and coverage\u201d, the party added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Comments are moderated.
