The Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, candidate for the Bomadi\u00a0 Local Government constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Engr. Preyor\u00a0 Oboro, has been declared winner after a keenly contested poll.<\/p>\n

The Returning Officer of the election, Prof. Festus Omeri\u00a0 while declaring the election result at Bomadi Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office, said Engr\u00a0 Oboro scored 24,649 to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Reginald Donbraye,\u00a0 who sought re-election for the fourth time, with 23,098 votes.<\/p>\n

The ACN candidate also defeated Mr. Singabele Emmanuel of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, who polled 8521 to come third.<\/p>\n

Speaking to newsmen after the results were released,\u00a0 Oboro thanked the electorate for having confidence on him, promising to attract the dividends of democracy to the area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
