Ashton runs in four England tries<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Northampton Saints and England duo Chris Ashton and Tom Wood have been shortlisted for the Premiership Player of the Season award.<\/p>\n

They are joined in the list by two South Africans – Saracens hooker Schalk Brits and Saints prop Brian Mujati.<\/p>\n

Leicester Tigers number eight Thomas Waldron is also in contention.<\/p>\n

Ashton, who won the award last year, and Wood were both key members of the victorious England side in this year’s Six Nations.<\/p>\n
