He is very, very mature in the way he plays; he doesn&#8217;t make many mistakes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With Edwin van der Sar retiring at the end of this season, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is on the lookout for a new goakeeper and the Dane thinks that Neuer, who has announced his intention to leave Schalke this summer, would be the ideal replacement.<\/p>\n<p>And Schmeichel thinks that if Ferguson comes calling, he would have to give the offer serious consideration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Sir Alex says &#8216;listen I want you to play for my team&#8217; it&#8217;s very difficult not to say yes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe Neuer saw what Manchester United are capable of first hand yesterday and he has to go to Old Trafford next Tuesday.
