It would be a huge challenge, but it ought to work out well, I\u2019m sure of that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to win trophies, keep progressing and play at the very highest level.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The right-back also reflected on his past mistakes, and how being sent away from the club\u2019s academy as a youth helped him develop into a current Dutch international.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cI was acting tough, had a big mouth and I deserved it. At Haarlem, I focused on my game and I calmed down. I progressed and I came back here even though I had offers from other teams. This is my club, this is my town and I wanted to show that I\u2019d changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve grown up, I\u2019ve matured. I\u2019ve got used to the lifestyle of a footballer.
