{"id":400792,"date":"2011-04-27T03:07:15","date_gmt":"2011-04-27T03:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/04\/27\/court-grants-businessman-protection-order-against-sons\/"},"modified":"2011-04-27T03:07:15","modified_gmt":"2011-04-27T03:07:15","slug":"court-grants-businessman-protection-order-against-sons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/04\/27\/court-grants-businessman-protection-order-against-sons\/","title":{"rendered":"Court Grants Businessman Protection Order Against Sons"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"42.558041958\">\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.herald.co.zw\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/a47391c0herald180.jpg.jpg\" alt=\"The Herald (Harare)\" title=\"Visit The Herald (Harare)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>26 April 2011<\/p>\n<hr class=\"thin clear\" \/>\n<p>A PROMINENT bus operator, Killian Mazarura, was yesterday granted a protection order against his two sons who are fighting to take over his businesses without his approval.<\/p>\n<p>Mazarura who operates Mazarura Bus Services, supermarkets and butcheries, told Harare Civil Court Magistrate Ms Lynn Manyika yesterday that his sons: Chris and Malcom Mazarura were disturbing his business activities and harassing him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They always come to my business premises disturbing my business activities by sending or chasing away my workers threatening to close down my business operations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Recently, they came to the garage and took away my keys, locking up all the doors before evicting the workers telling them that they want to work alone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Some time ago, I tried to incorporate them in the business, but I ended up evicting them because of their behaviour,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mazarura told the court that his sons want to takeover his businesses, yet he gave them their share and failed to run them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They say they want to take over my businesses yet I gave them some buses, cars and a fully stocked shop to operate but they sold them all and closed the shop.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I sent the other to a &#8216;luxurious&#8217; university in the United Kingdom for four years, but he came back empty-handed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I sent him again to United States of America where he spent three years but again he came back empty-handed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I tried to send him to Speciss College for him to take a management course so that I would involve him in the running of the business but he failed to do it,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mazarura told the court that Chris and Malcom came to his farm harassing him and accusing him of many things.<\/p>\n<p>Chris and Malcom did not oppose their father&#8217;s application and magistrate Ms Lynn Manyika granted the protection order.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<fieldset>\n<legend align=\"center\"><strong>More News on allAfrica.com<\/strong><\/legend>\n<\/fieldset>\n<p>AllAfrica &#8211; All the Time<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Read More:<br \/>\n<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/allafrica.com\/stories\/201104270097.html\" title=\"Court Grants Businessman Protection Order Against Sons\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Court Grants Businessman Protection Order Against Sons<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> 26 April 2011 A PROMINENT bus operator, Killian Mazarura, was yesterday granted a protection order against his two sons who are fighting to take over his businesses without his approval. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-400792","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.0 -
