I think I will leave the pitch sobbing but I\u2019m not bothered what people will think. People reckon that I\u2019m a hard guy but they don\u2019t know me. I can get very emotional and it will be one of the most emotional days of my life.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The occasion will be particularly emotional due to the attendance of his father, who at one point attended all Robbie&#8217;s matches, home\u00a0and away, until he was struck down with Pick&#8217;s disease in 2002. This will be the first game Savage&#8217;s father has attended since his illness.<\/p>\n<div readability=\"19.5\"><span readability=\"8\">\u201cIt will be one of the hardest things I\u2019ve ever done,&#8221; said Savage. &#8220;Not only am I leaving the football I love, I will be playing in front of my dad who I\u2019ve always idolised.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Despite it not being Savage&#8217;s last career game, the last game in front of his supporters will be extra special, and he had no idea about his father&#8217;s attendance until his mother called him last week.<\/p>\n<p>Savage continued: \u201cShe phoned in tears to tell me my father wanted to go to the game. For him to make the effort to see me play means so much.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<div readability=\"26\"><span id=\"divAdnetKeyword\"\/><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;He\u2019s always been there for me. When I was young, he worked all day in a factory, then he missed tea so he could come out to pick me up from football, getting home at 10pm.
