LAGOS -As Nigeria today joined the rest of the world to celebrate this year\u2019s World Malaria Day, the Malaria Society of Nigeria has charged President GoodLuck Jonathan to ensure that poor power generation in the country was improved within his first year in office, with a view to promoting the use of Insecticide Treated Nets, ITNs, in every home across the nation.<\/p>\n

President of the Society, Dr. Babajide Puddicombe, who made the charge in Lagos during a Road show\/ free malaria screening organised by the organisation in Ajeromi\/Ifelodun local government area, regretted that irregular power supply in the country had made it more difficult for Nigerians to make use of ITNs.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cPresident Jonathan should try as much as possible to fulfil one of his campaign promises, which is regular power supply. If this is done, more people will sleep under ITNs and the incidence of malaria will drop.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
