Doyle: Ahead of schedule in recovery from ligament injury<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Injury victim Kevin Doyle is targeting a return to action at Wolves before the end of the season.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old striker damaged knee ligaments while away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland in March and was expected to sit out the remainder of the 2010\/11 campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only four weeks have passed since he sustained the knock and he remains some way short of full fitness.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has, however, recently stepped up his rehabilitation by returning to light training.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doyle now believes that he could be back in time to help aid Wolves’ survival bid, with fixtures against Sunderland and Blackburn in his sights.<\/span><\/p>\n

“That’s the aim at the moment,” he told the club’s official website<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I had had a good week with the physios last week doing some running and we’re looking at me being available for the last two games.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Hopefully that will be the case and I can have some impact on the rest of the season.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Positive<\/span><\/h4>\n

Wolves could do with Doyle right now, as they continue to occupy a standing inside the Premier League relegation zone.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Molineux camp remains upbeat, though, and they are confident they will end the campaign outside of the bottom three.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doyle added: “There’s no game we don’t think we can win away or home. That’s why we’re still so positive.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Everyone believes we’re going to get out of it and I don’t think that’s changed. It’s in our hands. If we get results we’ll stay up, so that’s a good thing.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
