She’s one of the most stylish young actresses around, with a unique and quirky sense of style.<\/p>\n

But Doctor Who star Karen Gillan’s outfit was slightly ruined as she appeared on the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson earlier this week, thanks to the huge bruise she had on her arm.<\/p>\n

And, asked by the chat show host how she had acquired the bruise, Gillan replied that she had taken a tumble while stepping out in sky-high heels.<\/p>\n

Bruised: Doctor Who star Karen Gillan sported a huge bruise on her arm when she appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson this week<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She said: ‘I was really hoping you wouldn’t notice! I was trying to be cool in New York, because we were just there promoting Dr. Who and I fell over – right over, it was so dramatic.’<\/p>\n

Asked by Ferguson whether she was drunk at the time, she laughed: “No, I wasn’t – I promise. That’s the saddest part about it. I was wearing big heels and I just went right over.’<\/p>\n

Gillan, who was brought up in Inverness, also jokingly told Ferguson that she once saw the Loch Ness Monster.<\/p>\n

‘It’s big and green, with humps,’ she said, miming the humps with her arms.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old TV star also revealed that her mother, Marie, is a huge fan of Dr. Who and was delighted when she landed the role of Amy.<\/p>\n

She said: ‘My mum’s a proper Whovian. She’s properly obsessed with it. She even has Dalek bubble bath!’<\/p>\n

The new series of Doctor Who began in the UK last night, and is set to be the ‘darkest series yet’, according to writer Steven Moffat.<\/p>\n

Trendy: Gillan looked pretty in a printed green dress as she arrived for the interview<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And Gillan said recently she had no idea what is in store for her character Amy Pond because Moffat is keeping upcoming storylines under wraps.<\/p>\n

She said: ‘There are going to be a lot of revelations. There’s one huge one that will change everything.<\/p>\n

‘Steven Moffat went around everybody and only told them the bits they needed to know, and we’re not allowed to discuss it with each other, which is really relevant for the whole story.’<\/p>\n
