She’s the breakout star of The Only Way Is Essex, who has become as famous for her hilarious one-liners as for her sausage plaits.

And now Nanny Pat is trying her hand at a new role – a guest judge on the Dancing On Ice tour.

In a picture posted on Twitter by her granddaughter Jessica, the 75-year-old star is seen posing backstage with Vanilla Ice, making her fingers into a V shape for ‘Vanilla’.

"Down

Down with the kids: The Only Way Is Essex’s Nanny Pat hangs out with Vanilla Ice backstage as she stars as a guest judge on the Dancing On Ice tour

Grinning widely, Nanny Pat, real name Patricia Brooker, looks thrilled and excited to have been asked to be part of the tour as it arrived in London’s Wembley Arena this evening.

Jessica posted the picture with the caption: ‘Nanny pat ‘hangin’ with vanilla ice at dancin on ice tour! She was guest judge today! X’

It was revealed earlier this year that Nanny Pat could be a guest judge on the tour as Denise Welch, who came in sixth on this year’s Dancing On Ice, had asked her to sit on the panel.

"Panel:

Panel: (Left to right) Christopher Biggins, Robin Cousins and Karen Barber and Nanny Pat judged the performances at London’s Wembley Arena

"Mentors:

Mentors: Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean were also there to give their verdicts

Welch said: ‘I texted her granddaughter Jessica to ask Pat to be a judge on the tour and she said yes.

‘Hopefully she’ll join us at the end of the run. It could be the start of something wonderful! I just hope she knows what she’s doing, bless her.’

Nanny Pat joined Christopher Biggins, Robin Cousins and Karen Barber on the panel as the team judged the skating performances from this year’s stars including Sam Attwater, Chloe Madeley and Laura Hamilton.

"All

All white on the night: Chloe Madeley and Michael Zenezini take to the ice

"Pretty

Pretty in pink: Laura Hamilton and Colin Ratushniak strut their stuff

Meanwhile, Nanny Pat has been working hard to support her grandson Mark’s relationship with Lauren Goodger.

The pair announced their engagement earlier this year, much to the consternation of Mark’s family, who are still in doubt as to whether the marriage will actually work.

In last Wednesday’s night episode, Nanny Pat, Mark’s mother Carol and Jessica expressed their concern about the marriage.

"Showing

Showing them how it’s done: Torvill and Dean perform an intricate routine

"Showing

Showing their support: The fans performed a mexican wave as they watched

They attended a meal cooked for them by Lauren, but protective mother Carol told her potential daughter-in-law and son they needed to ‘grow up’.

Despite her brother’s recent engagement to Goodger after a rocky nine and a half year on/off romance, Jessica is unconvinced they’re meant to be together.

She told OK!: ‘I just think they’ve got to move on. I don’t think they really work.

‘I know there’s something there between them and they do love each other and I think that’ll go on for a long time, but i think its obvious they don’t get on and that’s why they constantly argue and constantly split up.’

The Dancing On Ice tour runs nationwide until May 1st. For more information visit Dancingonicetour.co.uk.
