Chelsea.

The Spaniard, who had not found the back of the net in 734 minutes since his £50 million arrival from Liverpool, scored Chelsea’s second, helping Carlo Ancelotti’s side record a 3-0 victory over West Ham.

Chelsea remain six points behind league leaders Manchester United but the former AC Milan focussed on his January acquisition, hinting that his best is yet to come.

“Obviously it was a fantastic moment for him,” said Ancelotti.

“He needed to score so that he could move on and move forward. In the next game he will be much better for this.”

The Blues boss has also backed Didier Drogba and Torres to get their misfiring partnership to click.

“Considering the performance of Didier Drogba today and also Fernado Torres’ goal we have to consider playing them together,” conceded Ancelotti.

“We will train and work at it before making a final decision at the end of the week.

“But they are different players who can play together.

“They are quality players so we have to try but it will be me who decides whether they play together.”

Ancelotti believes Chelsea’s chance of retaining their title has become even more difficult despite his side’s comfortable 3-0 win over West Ham.

He said: “There are only four games left now and it is the same points gap so it has become more difficult.

“West Ham didn’t deserve to lose 3-0 today. They played really well and it shows every game is difficult at this time of year.”

With a run of big games coming up, which will see Chelsea face both Tottenham and Manchester United, Ancelotti feels the title will be decided within the next two weeks.

“There are big games coming up involving Arsenal and Manchester United and Tottenham and Chelsea and these will decide the title race,” said Ancelotti.

“We will know more over the next 15 days.”
