The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA)<\/strong> is a not-for-profit organizations formed in 2006 to work with African governments, farmers, donors, NGOs and the private sector to reduce hunger and poverty in Africa through Agricultural development targeted at resource poor farmers. AGRA has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya and an office in Accra, Ghana.<\/p>\n

Job<\/a> Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

AGRA is seeking to recruit a highly competent and experienced individual to fill the position of Associate Program Officer<\/a> \u2013 Project Manager. The position will be based in Tamale, on a three year contract.<\/p>\n

Providing critical technical input into project implementation and overall management and supervision of the project
Managing and providing overall supervision for the Project Implementation Team
Monitoring project implementation against the established indicators detailed in the Project\u2019s Logical Framework
Planning and coordinating activities with the implementing agencies for project visibility according to the set guidelines<\/p>\n

Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Master\u2019s degree in agriculture or related social science degree with a diploma\/postgraduate degree in project management with 10 years similar work experience with at least five years in project management and implementation
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English as well as reporting and presentation skills
Knowledge and understanding of Ghana\u2019s agricultural development agenda, experience with value chain development in a not-for-profit and international environment combined with private sector experience would be a distinct advantage
Ability to travel as well as advanced knowledge in computing especially in Microsoft Office applications<\/p>\n
